New Iterations of S&W Performance Center Shield hits NRAAM (VIDEO)

The Smith & Wesson Shield is one of the most popular line-ups of pistols in the world. It only makes sense that S&W would want to make an iteration of the handgun that would please everyone. They rolled into NRAAM 2019 with new iterations, most notably the Performance Center M&P 9 M2.0 and the Performance Center M&P 380 Shield EZ M2.0.

Starting with the Performance Center M&P 9 M2.0; the biggest thing you’ll notice right away is that gun comes equipped with a 4 MOA Red Dot on top. Other noteworthy features are the ported 4-inch barrel and slide, designed to reduce felt recoil. You’ll see the same aggressive texturing, cocking serrations, and finish as the previous Performance Center M&P models. The pistol ships with two magazines, including one with an extended finger groove. This is available without the optic as well, the Red Dot version will retail for an MSRP of $854.

The Performance Center M&P 380 Shield EZ M2.0 also has some striking new features. You’ll immediately notice the aggressive lightning cuts in the slide to compliment the 3.8-inch ported barrel, both of which aim to reduce felt recoil. S&W included an all new flat-faced trigger for this gun too which promises to be crisp, lightweight, with an audible reset. The pistol also features HI-VIZ sights and a Picatinny style rail for low-light performance. You can get the pistol with either silver or gold accents, which match style with function.

The Performance Center M&P 380 EZ M2.0 will ship with two 8-round magazines and will have an MSRP of $502.
