NEWS FLASH: You Can’t Just Buy Guns Online 🤦🏻‍♂️

With all the panic shopping going on right now, it is safe to say people are not only looking to buy food and toilet paper but also guns and ammo. I was in my local Academy today looking for some .300 Blackout ammo for an upcoming series, and their ammo shelve was pretty much empty. Luckily, I called a local gun store, and they have some in stock, so I’ll be paying them a visit tomorrow morning.

That being said, it only makes sense that people are trying to get their hands on guns now.

But surprise, surprise. You can’t just buy guns online and get them shipped to your house like many politicians and media outlets want you to believe.

Most of you that are reading this now already know this. I just thought it was amusing when Brandon from Concealed Nation pointed out this article from Omaha Outdoors made a few days ago.

Apparently, their phone lines have been flooded by people asking if they can buy guns and ship them right to their house. 🤦🏻‍♂️

We all know that if you purchase a firearm from an online retailer, it will be shipped to an FFL that you will then pick the firearm up from after filling out the required ATF Form 4473.

Here at Omaha Outdoors, we’ve been inundated with inquiries from out-of-state folks – many from California – asking if we can ship them a gun directly. The answer is, of course, no. Despite what politicians and many in popular media claim, you can’t buy a gun online and have it shipped to your house. Well, you could, if you were a federally licensed firearm dealer (or federally licensed curio and relic collector) and your home was your place of business. Other than that, no, you can’t buy a gun online and have it shipped, especially across state lines, to your home.

Think we’ll be hearing about this on CNN? Don’t hold your breath.
