Nikon adds to its catalogue of Black tactical optics, introducing the new Black FX1000 to the competition-grade first focal plane scope series.

The Black FX1000 is competition-ready out of the box, offering Nikon’s match grade features to everyday shooters. The scope touts a first focal plane optical system, high speed turrets, integral zero stop and the choice of MOA or MRAD reticles.

Nikon said the Black FX1000 uses the company’s proprietary optical glass and multicoating technology that delivers sharp resolution and precise target images. Using a 50mm objective lens in each model, the scope boasts brightness “from first to last light.”

The FX-MOA and FX-MRAD reticles deliver a clear sight picture with all necessary tools to properly range with holdover and windage corrections. The Black FX1000 comes in 4-16×50 and 6-24×50 models. The 4-16×50 variants serve up 90 MOA/25 MRAD maximum internal adjustments while the 6-24×50 versions provide 60 MOA/17 MRAD internal adjustments.

Built on 30mm tubes from aircraft grade aluminum alloy with Type III-hard anodizing finish, the waterproof, fogproof and shockproof Black FX1000 start at $649, topping out at $799.
